MVP Camp Staff
David Miller
Executive Director
David brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to the camp with both his experiences as a player as well as a staff member on collegiate basketball teams. After a four-year career at Mira Costa High School,David went on to play collegiately at El Camino College. He then moved on to work as a manager at the University of Arizona, and was a part of a 2011 Elite 8 team that defeated Duke and was one shot away from a Final Four. David was able to work with #2 pick Derrick Williams and was an integral part of Arizona's day-to-day operations. He has experience coaching the youth in the South Bay as well, after serving as the Head Coach of the MBMS basketball team and various Club teams around the area. He knows what it takes to excel on and OFF the court,while being on the Dean's List during his tenure at the University of Arizona.
Mike Miller
Associate Director
Mike is a very versatile member of this staff thanks to his experiences as a two-sport star on the basketball court and on the football field. Mike was a stand-out basketball player at Mira Costa as well as an All-Area performer as a Tight End on the Mustang football team that went on to win a CIF State Championship. He moved on to play collegiate football at El Camino College, and was an All-Conference selection. He will play football at San Diego State in the Fall.
Eileen Miller
Registered Nurse
Eileen has been an educator and registered nurse for the past 17 years. During this time, she has also worked summer basketball camps from coast to coast. In addition to her medical responsibilities, Eileen has been known to give 'buzz' cuts as well as befriend all of our young campers!
Blake Geisler
Associate Director
Blake Giesler is a credentialed teacher and coaching veteran in the state of California. Born and raised in the state of Indiana his passion and love for the game is second to none. Giesler graduated from Purdue University and has been teaching and coaching for over 23 years. Coaching at the high school and middle school level has allowed him to preach and teach the fundamentals of the game. Work ethic, loyalty, trusting, caring are words that come to mind when I hear his name.
Coach Kevin Rudd
Coach
A very valued and popular member of our staff since day one. Kevin brings with him an unbelievable amount of basketball knowledge and has tremendous experience in talent evaluation. He has developed and organized one of the best club basketball teams in all of Southern California. For the last 11 years, Kevin has been a court manager for the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Roddie Anderson
Coach
Roddie Anderson brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to our staff as a former NCAA Division I basketball star and a coach from the Big 12 conference. Roddie was the 1993 California Juco Player of the Year and won two Big West Conference Championships while playing for Coach Miller at Utah State University. He is a basketball 'workaholic' and a great role model for all young aspiring players! He retired from playing professional basketball this year and resides in Huntington Beach.
